Manufacturing Methods :(a) 2-Bromoanthraquinone and sodium hydroxide heating; (b) 9,10-Dioxo-9,10-dihydroanthracene-2-sulfonic acid and Sodium hydroxide and Sodium nitrate and Sodium chlorate heating; (c) Anthracene-9,10-dione and Sodium hydroxide and Sodium chlorate Anthracene-9,10-dione or Sodium nitrate heating (BP 186526); (d) in the presence of Sodium nitrite and Sodium nitrate and Sodium hydroxide Anthraquinone heating (BP 241806245 987); (e), Sodium sulfite and antioxidant in the presence of Calcium oxide, anthracene 9, – a nitrocellulose derivatives and Sodium hydroxide heating (GP 292247); (f) 9,10-Dioxo-9,10-dihydroanthracene-2-sulfonic acid in the presence of air, with ethanol wetting of naoh treatment (GP 287270); (g) 2-Chloroanthracene-9,10-dione for alkali fusion (USP 1744815); (h) 2-Methylanthracene-9,10-dione in the presence of Sodium hydroxide with processing (BP 293328). And then into metal complex.
Properties and Applications:yellow red to purplish red. Soluble in Acetone, ethanol (boiling), alkali and Cellosole, slightly soluble in benzene and Carbon tetrachloride, insoluble in cold ethanol and Stout solvent. In concentrated sulfuric acid for yellow red, yellow, red after diluted for a precipitation; In naoh solution for purple. With C.I.Mordant Red 11 and the same chemical structure (metal complex).
