Manufacturing Methods :(a) with ethanol and Potassium hydroxide treatment C.I.Vat Red 14(C.I. 71110), filtering, steamed out ethanol, acidification, (b) in organic solvent will C.I.Vat Red 14(C.I. 71110)Triethylamine hydrochloride, sulfonate or hydrobromic acid salt or with strong organic acid treatment C.I.Vat Red 14(C.I. 71110) and get salt fractional crystallization, (C) with Aluminium chloride or Zinc chloride processing C.I.Vat Red 14(C.I. 71110) (with or without solvent are), then the product fractional crystallization.

Properties and Applications:dark red. Purple powder. Soluble in 2 – Chlorophenol, slightly soluble in Chloroform, Azabenzene and toluene, insoluble in acetone and ethanol. In concentrated sulfuric acid for red orange; In the basic insurance powder solution for brown, green fluorescent; In the acidic insurance powder solution for orange. Light fastness and good heat resistance. Mainly used for paint, ink painting, and plastic products and polyester protoplasm coloring. With C.I.Vat Red 15 and the same chemical structure.
