Manufacturing Methods : Naphtho[2,1-b]thiophen-1(2H)-one oxidation. The intermediate is used in Chlorobenzene Phosphorus trichloride or Thionyl chloride make 2-(Naphthalen-2-ylthio)acetic acid and closed loop (BIOS986, 260; FIAT 764).

Properties and Applications:brown. Not soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in xylene as red jujube. In concentrated sulfuric acid to dark brown, and then into blue, dilution for blue; In the basic insurance powder solution for red yellow; In the acidic insurance powder solution for light brown.
